BC Cancer joins the Marathon of Hope Network to spark change for Canadians facing cancer

BC Cancer clinicians and scientists continue to drive innovation across borders and have been invited to the Marathon of Hope Network, a pan-Canadian network to accelerate the adoption of precision medicine.

The goal of this collaboration is to create a national network of cancer centres that will deliver excellence in precision medicine from coast to coast.

Through the pilot project, BC Cancer experts are analyzing bio specimens, identifying and determining ways to harmonize their research processes, establishing an IT infrastructure for data sharing, and developing resources required to conduct multi-centre precision medicine clinical trials. The work being done through this partnership, made possible by your support, will propel institutional advancements in genomics, immunotherapy, molecular imaging and data sharing across Canada.

This network is just one example of BC Cancer experts leading on a national stage to change outcomes for all Canadians facing cancer.
